Vancouverites recommend Vancouver

According to the survey, 67% of people in Vancouver believe that their city is the most liveable in Canada. For Jean-François Barsoum, senior consultant for IBM, the company that commissioned the poll, this is a “high number”, especially when compared to the results achieved by other cities. “Only about one-third of Montrealers picked their own city,” he added.

For 65% of Vancouver residents, their city is on the path toward long-term liveability.

Vancouver has also ranked highly in another similar poll where Canadians were asked to choose the most liveable city in Canada, with 18% of people putting Vancouver in first place.

The poll was conducted among 2,015 adult Canadians and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.19%, 19 times out of 20.
