As an effective problem solver with outstanding teambuilding skills, this individual will provide safety minded leadership in accordance with the company safety standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for incident reporting, safety orientation and the delivery of safety programs to our field personnel, as well as assisting with the development, implementation, and monitoring of the site specific Project Safety Plan. Other major responsibilities include providing information to project personnel on applicable environmental/safety legislation and regulations, assisting supervisors in conducting Pre Job Safety Plans, and conducting and documenting environmental/safety inspections for submittal to the project management team.
The ideal candidate will have three to five years field safety experience. Preference will be given to those with an industrial background. A Construction Safety Officer designation, Occupational Health and Safety certificate, a recognized trade ticket, or an equivalent combination of experience and education is desirable.
