Position: Construction, Inspector
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years field quality experience in the inspection of pressure piping. They must be familiar with all aspects of piping fabrication, welding procedures and pressure piping codes.
Duties include welder performance testing and ticket issue, generating weld repair notices, performing visual examinations, hydro/pneumatic test witnessing and sign off, and radiographic film interpretation. Other major responsibilities include weld tracking data entry, verifying acceptability of received consumables, and assisting the quality manager with the development of welding information and NDE matrixes and issuing of the welding procedure shop booklets.
The individual should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as have welding inspector certification or graduation from a Welding Engineering Technologist program from an accredited post-secondary institution. Preference will be given to those who demonstrate proficiency with ASME codes and are willing to work on jobsites for extended periods of time.
