This key individual must have a minimum of 5 years heavy industrial experience, be a graduate of an engineering or engineering technologist program from an accredited post-secondary institute, and able to demonstrate leadership and mentoring skills.
The ideal candidate is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a project including planning, scheduling, document control, coordinating subcontractors, progress monitoring, cost control, operations of project personnel and maintaining relationships with clients. Other major responsibilities include providing the organizational structure of the project, setting up project reporting procedures, co-establishing project safety and environmental programs, acting as a chair at project meetings, ensuring project profitability.
In addition to assisting with the implementation of project quality and safety programs, leading the team of project coordinators and subcontract administration, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to identify and resolve field technical issues.
