JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the provision of Pharmaceutical Care to patients and caregivers according to Calgary Health Region hospital and departmental standards. Under direction, the pharmacist is responsible for patient care services, drug distribution services, drug information and education/research activities. Direct patient care responsibility may be in NICU, PICU, Mental Health, General pediatrics and ED.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
- Graduate of a recognized pharmacy program.
- Licensed as a Pharmacist in Alberta.
- Residency program or experience in hospital pharmacy desirable.
- Experience in pediatric drug therapy preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
- Preference will be given to individuals with experience in pediatrics.
- Basic computer skills are an asset.
